Because we are planning/hoping to only need to use this forum occasionally for a few days at a time when the Hancock Wildlife Foundation forum is down, I'm initially just setting up one thread for all posts. If the forum is offline during egg-laying or hatching or other major developments at a non-HWF nest where we generally have good coverage, we'll be happy to add more threads - but for now we'll wait until a need arises.
And since we don't have a thread to ask for a thread - feel free to ask on this thread!

Good Afternoon..... Some updates and a video with thanks to the Cam Chat at the NEFL Eagle cam nest
'gretchen_AEF (Admin): Visitor perched at the nest for 1 hr 20 min. Some vocalizing between Romeo and eagle, but no threat to Romeo, as he remained on the eggs. Eagle was craning and obvious Juliet was approaching. She escorted the visitor away. The eagle appeared large and possible thoughts eagle was female and possibly Delilah from 5 seasons ago. They both had oval nares. However, Delilah had a bump or somewhat lumpy beak. We will never know for sure

tweetie_AEF (Moderator): Good afternoon! After all the excitement with the visitor, Juliet rolls eggs and fluffs moss at 12:30.
Nov 14, 2:04 PM
tweetie_AEF (Moderator): Juliet sounds vocals at 1:00 and flies off, as Romeo comes in right on queue to take over.

Good morning everyone
Just wanted to post an update that Harriet and M15 at SWFL have their first egg. According to the Dick Pritchett website, the egg was laid yesterday at 3:24p.m.
Congrats to Harriet and M15!

Thanks, Stephanie! We actually have a thread for the SW FL eagle cam under our HWF cams section -
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=40 - and I know it's not exactly a HWF cam, but we have partnered with them to provide a forum where they could post their observations and daily summaries, so we put the thread there in case they decide to use this temporary backup forum to post observations while waiting for us to have a regular HWF forum back online - which I hope will happen soon.
I did see a video of M15's first look at the egg - so sweet.
