On the S PTZ Cam for a look around !
2:32pm...It is amazing to see eagles the lone tree and some on the flats.....others flying over the river on this miserable wet and windy day....
Eagles have 7000 feathers .....they consist of interlocking microscopic structures that are light and very strong .... Layers of feathers trap air to insulate birds against the cold and protect them from the rain!

Thanks Bev! All those feathers to aid the eagles in flight and keep them warm, but how the heck do they put their feet/talons in that cold icy water brrrr!! lol

An eagle's leg muscles are tucked up under its feathers, nearer the warm center of its body, and it has very few soft tissues in its long legs and feet, which are wrapped by thick, scaly skin that helps protect them from the cold. If its feet do get cold, it can always tuck them, often one at a time, underneath its feathers.

4:26pm..Hard to see but there is eagles in the trees left of the lone tree and a couple of eagles on the lone tree !
4:30pm Eagles in the trees right of the lone.........Mom+ Dads perch close to the nest is empty and I didn't see any eagles on stacking tree or Mom's Perch .
4:35 pm....Getting too hard to see and cam is blurry....
Both cams are on the nest for the night/
