Re: Harrison Mills Observations

7:44 am
Mom looked at something intently, then moved out to a branch.

Preened briefly, then moved to the branch under the North cam (I'm watching on South primarily).

Bev has her on the North cam now - she's so beautiful.

Re: Harrison Mills Observations

Someone else is calling - Mom is answering. Not sure it's a "welcome!" call?

And good morning!

Re: Delta2 Observations

Both are still there (is there a name for the tree where they are perched?) - and the west cam has also switched to color - a bit of sunrise above the hills and below the clouds - quite lovely, especially with eagles.

Re: Delta2 Observations

Friday, November 10, 2017 Good morning, everyone! Wonderful to see people stopping by, and please feel free to post observations here so others will know what's happening at the nest. I know we're all eager to get back to our home "nest" on the HWF forum (and I think I can guarantee that ...

Re: Harrison Mills Observations

Glad you found your way here, Anne!

3:42 pm
Adult on perch is up and preening. Good job trying to get close, Darlene - not easy when she's so far away from the cam, and it's not that sunny a day.

Dinner time here - I'll try to check back later.

Re: Harrison Mills Observations

You're welcome, Bev - and thanks to you and Darlene for zooming, and thanks for the video mark!

3:30 pm
I'm not sure, but it looks as if the adult on the branch may be snoozing with her head tucked in.

Re: Delta2 Observations

Welcome, Phil! And I'm afraid that's right - that's a constraint that appears to be built into the code from our streaming partners at WildEarth, and I don't know if that will change when the new site is closer to being completely live rather than in design and testing. One can get there with a coup...

Re: Harrison Mills Observations

I don't do this often - but I used admin permissions to add a picture of the adult so we'd have it for comparison purposes - it's in my post from one of the times the zoomer got a close look - viewtopic.php?p=963#p963.

Re: Harrison Mills Observations

2:30 pm Heard some trilling while the cam was watching the adult on the perch - and I don't think that adult was trilling. Perched adult is looking around now. I'm hearing two voices and not seeing that beak move - unless she's a ventriloquist? 2:32 pm Perched adult is doing some preening - doesn't ...
