Delta2 Observations

This is a place to keep notes about what's happening at White Rock, Delta 2, Harrison Mills and Lafarge while we wait for the Hancock Wildlife site to be back on line.

Both adults just landed on the nest. Looks like a blustery rainy day at Delta - but there's work to be done!

Thanks, zoomers - nice to see them here!

Cams have been going offline for a few seconds from time to time - my guess is that the wind is causing issues.

Both adults just flew off.

10.20 in on Cams
10.41 OFF cams.

Very windy so didn't want to zoom too far, just had a look but did not see MA or PA anywhere.

I'm not seeing a power outage in Delta, but also don't have a good idea where the nest is on the map, so it might be close to some of the other outages in that general area. I'll send Ken an email but I'm not sure when he'll be able to try to connect and reboot them. As mentioned in the update thread, all the direct access links zoomers use are currently down, and Ken is working on a backup for those, so we're hoping they'll be back soon.

Is this where we're supposed to post when we take the cams?

It's probably the best way to let the other zoomers know, Phil, until we either get our old forum back or get a new permanent one set up.

And I should assure everyone that our plan is to have the old forum available at least as an archive that everyone can see as soon as possible - but because it's taking quite a bit longer than anticipated to get the old server up and running, we may go ahead and set up the new forum we'd planned to phase in slowly over the winter a bit sooner than anticipated.

I'll let people know as soon as I know anything.
