Re: White Rock Observations 2015

2:05 p.m.: I see the same thing you do, Judy . I just checked in after coming home from work, and I see the bigger chick (Kilo) lying down, while the smaller one (Lima) is getting a really good feeding. Kilo looks up every now and then, but doesn't seem interested in eating. 2:15 p.m.: Now Kilo is ...

Re: Harrison Mills Observations 2015

8:53 a.m.: We got a brief look at the chick as Ma moved away from the nest bowl. Zoomer had panned over to a clump of grass on the nest rim, and was in the process of panning back over to Ma and the chick at this point. 9:17 a.m.: Pa arrived, and Ma began squealing at him. She didn't budge off her ...

Re: Harrison Mills Observations 2015

7:35 p.m.: Nice views of the wee little bobblehead, after Ma steps out into the nest. Definitely not a lot of upper-body control for the poor thing. But that will come.

Re: Harrison Mills Observations 2015

12:26 p.m.: More squealing from whomever is sitting on the eggs, LOL! The other parent has flown in, causing the other to squeal. We got a good look at the eggs, but I don't see the pip right now. 12:32 p.m.: I think Pa has moved over the eggs. He has a sleeker head than Ma, whose head looks a bit ...

Re: Harrison Mills Observations 2015

11:28-11:29 a.m.: Ma has arrived. Pa is squealing at her as she places piece of moss by his beak. (Or maybe it's the other way around. I have such a hard time telling these two apart! I thought it was Ma doing the yelling and refusing to budge, LOL!) 11:36 a.m.: It definitely looks like Ma sitting ...

Re: Delta3 Observations 2015

I hope I'm getting my parent IDs correct. I'm assuming it was Ma in the nest, then Pa flies in to join them. 8:00 p.m.: Ma rolls the egg. 8:02 p.m.: Pa arrives, joining Ma and the chick. He may have brought prey with him. 8:03 p.m.: Ma begins feeding the chick. 8:04 p.m.: Pa grabs what looks like fi...
